To be more helpful and give even more real world samples I have decided to put up a few images here that are right out of the camera. Well, the RAW files were processed in Capture One using the defaults. If you somehow landed her without seeing the full review of this lens, click here.
Here is a Leica M8 ISO 1250 image with the Leica 24 Lux at 1.4. The noise you see is due to ISO 1250 in a dark area. When I took this image, the machine in the back room was barely visible. The M8 and 24 Lux “sucked in” all of the light and brightened up the scene. This is where the 24 Lux shines IMO. Shooting in the dark at 1.4.

Here is another shot wide open at 1.4. It was stormy and rain was coming down. I took this shot to test how the lens would do for detail, sharpness and color on this overcast rainy day. Click the image below for the full size out of camera original. Zoom in to 100%. Remember, this was shot at 1.4, wide open.
Here is yet another image for you to download. This one was accidentally shot at ISO 640 so the grain you see is due to this. But at 100% it is sharp as a razor. I focused on the horse head...
I have many more images that I can put up but my bandwidth is limited and cost me money. I run this as a FREE site so I hope these images are helpful to those who wanted more “out of camera” untouched files. As you can see, vignetting is NOT an issue or problem with this lens. Neither is sharpness.
I will do this for my Leica 21 summilux review as well as all future reviews as I feel it will be helpful for you to see what the lens can do without having to see only resized shots.
Thanks for looking and I hope you enjoyed these reviews.
I THANK YOU!!
I thank you for reading my review and hope you enjoyed it. Running this free site costs me money, but my passion for for photography and gear has led me to create and share all of this info with fellow camera nuts. I work 7-10 hours a day on this site, as it consists of a lot more than writing these pages. When I am not writing, I am shooting with the lenses and cameras I write about, then going through the images and preparing them for the site. If you enjoy the site and find it useful, then you can help me to continue bringing these reviews and write-ups! How? Just click here to find out. Thanks!
